Evolutionary Experience Design is a production process that combines design thinking, business strategy, psychology, future foresight, and storytelling to create brands, products, services, and media of extraordinary function and form.

User Experience (UX) is the simple philosophy that successful products are designed with your specific users in mind, providing them with the best experience possible.

Evolutionary Experience Design (EXD) extends UX to optimize design to move with evolutionary trends in culture, communications, and consciousness.

Operating at the intersection of business, technology, and design, EXD is a purposeful production process that matches business needs with customer needs all within scope of greater social values of optimal health, well-being, personal transformation, and collective evolution.

As a strategy tool, I use EXD to work with visionary entrepreneurs, innovative startups, change makers, and impact leaders to create a clear vision of what they want to see in the world. As a design tool, I use EXD to deliver real and virtual experiences of extraordinary function and form.

Project Evaluation

During the initial phase of a project, I conduct meetings to accurately determine your needs and the current situation. We discuss goals, roles, technology, and marketing. Once I completely understand the nature of the project, we can move to defining the scope of the project and agreement of deliverables.

DEFINE

Project Planning

Here we define exactly what you want to accomplish. We begin with defining user needs and business goals. This involves discussing your wants, needs, goals, budget, and as many aspects of your business as possible. Using the information gathered, a Scope of Work (SOW) is developed which will detail and outline a product solution.

IDEATE

Brainstorming

Think outside the octahedron! Following the definition of your project comes the creation of concepts. With an eye for innovation, and backed by extensive research in emerging technology and market trends, I create novel concepts, sketches, drawings, diagrams, and storyboard visual flows of your project. This is the skeletal system that will be developed upon throughout the design process.

PROTOTYPE

Working Model

Here I flesh out those skeletal sketches, diagrams, and storyboards and transpose them into high-level wireframes and a functional prototype. I collaborate with you to validate the ideas of how your product is going to work with your end-users in mind. I carefully match features to functions, establish technical foundations, and architect the system that will build your product.

BUILD

Implementation and Delivery

The build phase is where we take all the information and feedback gathered from prototyping and begin building the product, preparing it for launch. This development stage is where I implement and refine various facets of the initial design to ensure that it is visually pleasing, fully functional, and continuing to be in alignment with delivering a great user experience. This phase can include application coding, design integration, testing, and documentation.

EVOLVE

Interation and Innovation

Once your product has become available for the targeted audience, I can begin an analysis phase where we gain real-world insight on the newly published product through product research and user feedback.

This analysis phase can be quite a pivotal point in the design process. Real-time user feedback and product research can determine nuances of improvement or even entirely new directions of innovation. This phase brings the design process back around again, through an on-going process of iterative design innovation, ensuring an ever greater exchange of value with your target audience.
